Tim Johnson has always loved to travel. Growing up in a family that packed up the car and hit the highway every summer on epic, cross-continental road trips, a desire to explore in his very DNA. Now, Tim Johnson writes about travel for a living, spending plenty of time on the road researching articles for North America's top magazines, newspapers and websites. He has visited 113 countries on all seven continents (and counting)—hanging out with fire-dancers at a camel festival in Rajasthan, tracking lions on foot in Botswana, climbing volcanoes to visit mountain gorillas in Rwanda, riding the Trans-Siberian railroad across Russia, Mongolia and China during the coldest winter in a decade, spending time with monks in Burma, sailing around Cape Horn, visiting the temples of Angkor Wat, sliding down the side of sand dunes in Namibia—every day holds a new experience. With pad, pen and camera in hand, he meets fascinating people, eats amazing food and enjoys every minute of the adventure.
