Tim Johnson has always loved to travel. Growing up in a family that packed up the car and hit the highway every summer on epic, cross-continental road trips, a desire to explore in his very DNA. Now, Tim Johnson travels for a living, spending about 300 days a year on the road, writing for Canada's top magazines, newspapers and websites. He has visited 84 countries on six continents (and counting)—hanging out with fire-dancers at a camel festival in Rajasthan, tracking elephants on foot in Zimbabwe, climbing volcanoes to visit mountain gorillas in Rwanda, riding the Trans-Siberian railroad across Russia, Mongolia and China during the coldest winter in a decade, spending time with monks in Burma, sailing around Cape Horn, visiting the temples of Angkor Wat, sliding down the side of sand dunes in Namibia—every day holds a new experience. With pad, pen and camera in hand, he meets fascinating people, eats amazing food and enjoys every minute of the adventure.
